Weekly Review Of ICC world cup 2011 !!!!

The eleventh edition of ICC world cup 2011 is organized by three south Asian countries India, Srilanka and Bangladesh. The world cup was officially inaugurated in Bangla Bandhu stadium of Dhaka, and the real countdown of world cup had begun after the first played between to organizer India and Bangladesh. As world cup had gone about one week long here I am trying to analyze the week of world cup 2011. Till today all countries had played at least one match and shown their caliber .

First Match between India & Bangladesh:
The match played between India and Bangladesh is known for the brilliant performance by bats man. Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field due to due factor, but India made huge total though it lost its key player Sachin early as run out. The day was for Virendra sehwag and he made explosive 175 in 140 ball and he was supported by Virat Kohli 100 of 83 ball. Munaf patel really bowled well and took 4 wicket to restrict Bangladesh just for 283/9  and India stopped the history to occur again by beating Bangladesh by 87 run and man of the match was offcourse Sehwag for his excellent inning.

Second match between Newzland and Kenya:
In the low scoring match in Chepauk Chennai Kenya lost to Newzland with huge margin and no player of Kenya shows any impressive game.Kenya won the toss and elected to bat but the decision turns out to be bad. After demolishing Kenyan batting for just 69 runs, Kiwi openers chased down the target inside 8 overs to register a comprehensive win against the Kenyan side. The man of the match was given to Hamish Bennett of newzland for his excellent bowling. Hamish Bennett took 4 wicket just for 16 run in five over.

Third match between Srilanka and Canada:
In the second match of the day & third match of the tournament again the minnows failed to show any impression as Srilanka beat Canada by huge margin of 210 runs with the help of record breaking century by Mahela Jayawardene. He shoed his batting skilling scoring century in  just 81 ball. With the help of his century, Srilanka made 332/7 and on response minnows Canada were all out for 122 in 36.5 over, though Rizwan Cheema shows some struggle in middle order. The man of the match award goes to non other that century boy Mahela jayawardene.

Fourth Match between Australia & Zimbabe:
Australia won the toss and elected to bat first in Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad and made the medium total of 262/6 in fifty over with the help of half centuries from Watson and Clarke. Australian fast bowlers bowled at a full throttle mixing aggression with common sense to bowl out Zimbabwe for 171 runs chasing a target of 263 runs. Finally Australia humiliate Zimbabwe by the margin of 91 runs. Man of the match was Shane Watson for his batting performance.

Fifth Match between England and Netherland:
The fifth match seems to be really intrestinga nd it brings some hope for the non test playing nation . Though Netherland was defeated by England the team must be really happy. Needing 37 off last five overs, Collingwood and Bopara scored 30 not-out each give their team a comfortable win with 8 balls remaining. Netherland won the toss and elected to bat first and the hero of the match Ryan ten Doeschate scored the century and made huge total of 292/6 in 50 over. The chase wasn’t easy for England as sometime in the match England seems to be nervous towards Minnows. But finally England manged to win the match by 6 wicket though the man of the match goes to Ryan ten Doeschate for his marvelous century.

Sixth Match Between Pakistan & Kenya:
After the team failure against Ireland in previous world cup Pakistan had to prove themselves in this world cup and they did it defeating Kenya by the huge margin of 205 runs. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first and made huge total of 317/7 though their opener failed to perform well. Kamran Akmal, Younis Khan, Misbah-ul Haq & Umar Akmal all contributed half centuries. Excellent Bowling by captain Sahid afridi restricted Kenyan for 112 in just 33.1 over.  Sahid afridi grab the man of the match in  Mahinda Rajapaksha International Cricket Stadium.

Seventh Match between South Africa and West indies:

AB Devillers unbeaten run a ball century and a terrific spell of leg-spin bowling helped South Africa to fashion out a convincing 7 wicket victory over West Indies who were brilliant in patches in their first world cup Group B match played at Ferozshah Kotla Ground, Delhi. Winning the toss and elected to field first, they bowled out West Indies for 222 runs thanks to some good bowling performances from debutant leg-spinner Imran Tahir and Dale Steyn. Johan botha was impressive too. Later Man of the match Century boy  wicket keeper batsman AB Devillers scored century after Jacques Kallis failed to score. Man of the Match goes to none other than AB Devillers

Eighth Match between Newzland & Australia:
An aggressive fast bowling display followed by solid opening partnership helped Australia to a thumping seven-wicket victory over New Zealand in their second group A match played at Nagpur. In Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground, Nagpur Australia won the toss and invited Newzland to bat first and excellent bowling performance by Mitchell Johnson and Shaun Tait helped Australia to restrict newzland to 206 in 45.1 over and the runs was mainly contributed by lower order of newzland. Australia never seems in trouble on chasing the total and they chase the total in just 34 overs with the help of half century from opener shane Watson and haddin and lost three wicket to win the match by 7 wicket. Man of the match was none other than Mitchell Johnson for his four wicket.

Ninth Match Between Bangladesh & Ireland:
Cricket fan of Srilanka
An inspired fast bowling spell from young fast bowlers Shafi-ul-Islam of 4 for 18-best by any Bangladesh bowler in world cup- helped home team overcame some tough moments during their defence of a low total of 206 runs to win the game by 27 runs against Ireland in the crucial group B match at Mirpur. Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first but didn’t show the same sort of batting against India and scored just 205 in 49.2 over and the main contribution was by opener  Tamim Iqbal. Later Ireland showed some fighting sprit but failed to chase the total as Shafiul Islam took four wicket for just 21 runs. Man of the match was surprisingly Tamim Iqbal.

Tenth Match between Srilanka and Pakistan:
Pakistan showed that they can bring any kind result in their favour as again the Pakistani captain Afridi strikes. Pakistan overcame some nervous moments and fielding lapses to register an 11 run victory over determined Sri Lanka in the important group A match played at R Premdasa Stadium.Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first and made total of 277/7 in 50 over. The major contribution was from Younis Khan &  Misbah-ul Haq in batting. Shahid Afridi performed for  man of the match and restricted srilanka for 266/9 in 50  over  to win the match by just 11 runs.

The Opening race of Formula One the Bahrain Grand Prix is postponed!!!

Here is bad news for the race lovers. who enjoy formula one specially people from middle east as the opening race of the Formula One season, the Bahrain Grand Prix, has been axed due to ongoing political unrest in the country. The Bahrain government confirmed the race, scheduled for March 13, had been called off on Monday afternoon after days of speculation.

The Bahraini Crown Prince, Salman bin Hamad al Khalifa, informed Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone of the decision by telephone after days of unrest in the Gulf kingdom.
The 2011 Formula One season will now begin in Melbourne, Australia on March 27.
The Crown Prince told the country's Information Affairs Authority Twitter site: "We felt it was important for the country to focus on immediate issues of national interest.

"Bahrain's priority is on overcoming tragedy, healing divisions and rediscovering the fabric that draws this country together to remind the world of the very best that Bahrain is capable of as a nation once again united.
"At the present time the country's entire attention is focused on building a new national dialogue for Bahrain.
"I would like to extend my personal gratitude to Bernie Ecclestone for his support and understanding."
Thousands of demonstrators have taken to the streets in recent days to protest against the country's ruling monarchy, basing themselves at the Pearl Roundabout in the capital Manama.
Around 10 protestors were reported to have been killed after security services attempted to clear the roundabout on Thursday. The Crown Prince said he was deeply sorry for the deaths in an interview with CNN.
There has been no announcement yet on whether the race will be held at a later date, though chairman of the Bahrain International Circuit Zayed R. Alzayani told CNN he was hopeful there would be an annoucement in a "matter of weeks."
He said: "That all depends on how the events in Bahrain going on at present turn out -- there will be a process of reconciliation launched soon and all parties will come to the table in response to his Royal Highness's efforts and things will come back to normality."

The cancellation of the race could be costly for Bahrain's economy. The 2008 grand prix was worth around $600 million in direct and indirect revenue, according to the Marcopolis website.
British newspaper The Times reported that it cost Bahrain race organizers $40 million to secure a place in this year's calendar, plus another $20 million to ensure it was the first of the season.

On top of that, the $200 million Sakhir circuit has also had a $50 million revamp since last year's race.
Mark Webber, driver for the Red Bull team, backed the cancellation. He said "I think the right decision was made, in light of what is going on, so we look forward to Melbourne instead.
"It would have been nice to go to Bahrain, but hopefully it can stage the race again. As for starting in Melbourne, it's my home race and, as always, I'm looking forward to it.
Webber's comments were echoed by Renault team boss Eric Boullier. He said: "The recent situation in Bahrain has been difficult for the country. We feel the decision taken by the Crown Prince is wise and we fully support it.
"The Bahrain Grand Prix has always been warmly welcomed with enthusiasm from the Bahraini people and we're looking forward to going back there when they have healed their country."

The Bahrain Grand Prix is a Formula One Championship race which first took place at the Bahrain International Circuit on 4 April 2004.
The Bahrain Grand Prix, sponsored by Gulf Air, made history as the first Formula One Grand Prix to be held in the Middle East. Bahrain fought off fierce competition from elsewhere in the region to stage the race, with Egypt,Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates all hoping for the prestige of hosting a Formula One Grand Prix.
The inaugural race was given the award for the "Best Organised Grand Prix" by the FIA.
The Bahrain Grand Prix has usually been the third race of the Formula One calendar. However, in the 2006 season, Bahrain swapped places with the traditional opener, the Australian Grand Prix, which was pushed back to avoid a clash with the Commonwealth Games. Bahrain staged the opening race of the 2010 season.
